Dariush Eghbali (Dariush) was born on February 4, 1951 in Tehran, Iran. His talent was first recognized at an early age of 9, when he appeared on stage at his school. Hassan Khayatbashi introduced him to the public at the age of 20 through Iranian television. He immediately became popular with his legendary song Be Man Nagoo Doset Daram. Whether he sings poems of Shamloo, Rumi, Hafez and Naderpour, or lyrics of Janati Attaie, Ghanbari, Sarfaraz, Negahban and Bayat, the one theme that runs through all his music is that of love, peace, freedom and justice. He has collaborated with such renowned artists as Ahmad Pejman, Mohammad Shams, Farid Zoland and Varoujan. He has had sold out performances in concert hall around the world. Furthermore, his performances in the Iranian Cinema, more specifically in 2 films Yaran and Faryad Zire Aab. Through the establishment of the Iran Recovery Center, and Ayeneh Foundation, by creating such websites as Behboudi.com, Ayeneh.org and dariusheghbali.com.
