Nasrollah Moein Najafabadi (Moein) was born on December 23, 1951, in Najafabad, Isfahan, Iran. He is well known for his love songs. He was so fond of his birthplace that even though Tehran had become the Center of all artists, he still stayed in Isfahan and continued to perform at the Shah Abbas Hotel. In 1982, after Writing Yeki Ra Doost Midaram, he left Iran. In one of his interviews, Moein actually explains that his song Yeki Ra Doost Midaram had been performed by Hayedeh by the time he arrived to Los Angeles. However, it was his version which became very popular and lead Moein to his first hit. It’s interesting to note that even to date many people think Moein performed Hayedeh’s song. Moein continued to produce hit after hit. Moein is considered one of the best selling Iranian artist today.
